Thankful for...

There is not a day that doesn't go by that I don't find myself reflecting on the things that I'm thankful for. I wake up everyday and I feel so grateful that I have been blessed with a wonderful husband who would do anything for me and the kids. I am grateful for the 5 beautiful children that I have and just how much I love them is incredible! They and my husband constantly amaze me with things that they do. (Yes, most things are good...a few are bad!) I am grateful for the abundance of family that I am blessed to have in my life. They are all so wonderful. I could go on and on, but it's late and I'm tired.
So, that's it...I just wanted to share a little something and for all of you that may read this, I am thankful to you for being in my life. You all are so important, and I love you all very much.
Now I must go to bed, it's late, and tomorrow will be here before I know it.
Goodnight

Post, post, and more posts

Well, I've done it. I've gotten caught up on everything that I wanted to get caught up on. It feels good to get this done. Like I've accomplished something great. Which, to me blogging is great. I enjoy doing it and reading others blogs, and I feel that for all the family that lives far and near, this is a great way to keep everyone up to date with what we're doing. So keep reading and I will keep posting. (Though i can't guarantee how fast I can get it all posted!haha)
Now on to the next project on my to do list.

Some random pics and such 10/2008

Both Colton and Dallin played football this year. Colton played for the Bountiful Sophomore team and Dallin played for the Bountiful little league team.
Colton is somewhere in the middle of this. He is number 75.
Running off the field.
I believe this game was against Viewmont, but I don't remember the outcome.

Colton is giving Dallin some advice about his last play.

Dallin is number 37. He was pretty happy to end his season with a handful of touchdowns and an interception.

Will and I with the other kids (running around somewhere) at a school function.

The Boys go hunting 10-2008

So, Josh decided to head up to the Elk Hunt camp this year. Not to hunt, but to hang out and be camp chef. He and Colton headed up and hung out with Travis and a few other people.
If you look at the thermometer, you can see why I was just as happy to stay home in my nice warm house.
Brrrr....can you say it's colddddd.

I would have liked to have seen these moose at the camp. I have yet to see one closely.
Travis decked out in all of his huntin gear.

Eatin some fine food. Nothin says lovin like some cookin in the dutch oven.
Mmmmm...yummy.
Some more pics of the moose.

Josh came back with some gorgeous pics of the area they camped out in.

Colton really enjoyed riding around on Travis's four wheeler.

The boys also headed out for the deer hunt two weeks later. I have to say that the timing was perfect(for me anyways). The kids also spent the weekend at their grandparents, so I was able to enjoy a nice quiet weekend at home. And you can bet I did. Vicki and I even managed to go see a play and have dinner. It was great!

First Big Snow 10-12-08

Well, earlier this month, on the 10th of October to be exact we had our first big snow storm. Josh and I awoke in the middle of the night to a strange noise. As I laid there thinking of all of the possible items in the back yard that could make such a noise, Josh sprung out of bed to discover we had lost half of the walnut tree in the backyard. Bummer! It was the side that had the swing on it too, which the day before had just been used by a handful of Girl Scouts and the kids.

Half of the tree gone...just like that.
Look at all that snow.
Front yard.

The front tree wasn't as bad. We lost a few limbs, but nothing like the backyard.

We gather that we had about 8" of the white stuff. The kids enjoyed it while it lasted.

Poor tree and swing!

Happy Halloween 2008

Happy Halloween!
The kids are dressed up and ready to go Trick-or-Treating!
Bring on the candy!
Oh yeah, and the house with the homemade doughnuts...the kids thought those were awesome and worth the wait.

I love this time of year, fall is in the air and some of my favorite holidays are coming.

Pumpkin. Check. Dremel tool. Check. Husband to power the dremel tool. Check.

Now this is how you carve a pumpkin.

Will is pointing to the pumpkins "Angry Eyebrows" to match the ones that he is giving!

Well, another Halloween has come and gone and it was fun while it lasted.
Till next year....
p.s. somehow I didn't post any pics of Shawna' and her pumpkin. Darn it!

OMG...I'm the mother to a 16 year old!

Ok, let me start out by saying that my pictures have a mind of their own. They aren't in the order that I uploaded them in! What's up with that?
Anyways I am proud to say that Colton is 16! WOW!!!
I can't believe it. It's absolutely crazy...especially when Josh points out that in 2 years he will be 18! OMG! I am proud to be mom to such a wonderful young man. He is (aside from the usual teenager stuff) a fine young man. I am proud of the person he is becoming and excited to see the man that he becomes. (I'm tearing up as I'm writing this)
Anyways here are some pics from his party!
This is Eden learning to walk. (Bethany's baby)
I went all out on the embarrassing factor!

Happy with the gifts! (Who wouldn't be with money!)

Nothing like letting the whole neighborhood know!

Colton took this pic of Chili. She loves to lay on the pillows and blankets that the kids leave out.
