Making your own Vanilla Extract...mmmm...very interesting
So, here I am on a Tuesday night at 10:15 p.m., the husband is out of town, the kids are in bed, and here I am surfing the magical Internet, when low and behold while checking out a food blog that I like to follow is a recipe for making your own Vanilla Extract. It caught my attention, so I thought that I would share it. You can (or should be able to) follow this link:http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/007340how_to_make_vanilla_extract.php
It makes me want to run out and start my own right now!!! I really enjoy baking and am so getting excited for the upcoming Holiday Seasons. I will be baking some cookies this weekend to send off with Josh and Colton for the Deer Hunt. Nothing says lovin like some cookies from mama's oven. HA, I'm a poet and didn't even know it.
Ok, ok...enough already. I should go to bed.

First Day of School 2008
Well it's time for another year of school. following tradition, we took pictures out front before school. I didn't get any of Colton, after all he's too cool for that now that he's in high school.
(just kidding) It was my fault, I didn't get up that early.

The Girl Scouts have a night out on the town and such! 08/15/08
So, on August 15, 2008 my Girl Scout Troop had a night out. They earned their night out by participating in selling cookies this year. They all voted on what they wanted to do. So here it is...
First we started out by heading to the beauty school where the girls got updo's and mini pedicures/manicures. (the leaders got full pedicures) (I can't tell you how much I love a good pedicure!)
Shawna' and her updo. Isn't she beautiful! The girls all had some great hair do's. It was definitely a fun time.

Following the up-do's we went to Target where the girls all had a group photo taken, we headed out to dinner at Chuck-A-Rama, then headed up to Layton to spend the night in a hotel and swim.
It was totally fun...I had a blast and I know that Shawna' did as well.
So, much fun in fact that I decided to come home and get my hair done. I had gotten a Gift Certificate for my Birthday from my ever so thoughtful Sister-in-Law Vicki, so I cashed it in and here are the results...
The house is finished part 1...pics of the inside.
So, earlier this year we painted the inside of the house, from the entry-way to the living room and down the hallway, it all got a fresh coat of paint. Here are some pics of the finished product.
