Dallin turned 9 on June 13th. It started out as a great day. Everyone wishing him Happy Birthday wishes and such. As time grew closer to the party time, (Dallin wanted to have a friend party) Dallin was getting a little nervous. By 2:30, no one had arrived yet! The party was supposed to start at 2:00 p.m. His birthday party was ruined and he was devastated!
So what does a family do when things don't go as planned?
Well, we improvise and make it better!
The kids and I snuggled in to watch one of Dallin's favorite movies (one of the old Pink Panther's) with some homemade popcorn and after dinner Travis, Vicki and family and Carter, Rozz and family all came over for some cake and ice cream and to celebrate with Dallin!
What better way to spend the day then surrounded by those who love you the most!

Not sure why no one came. Nobody even called to say they were/weren't coming. Pretty lame!
What a great cake though! We would've come! You and Elly should go into the cake decorating business! You both make beautiful cakes!
