Sitting at home....

So it's late...10:14. Any normal person would be getting ready for bed, which most nights that is what I would be doing. But not tonight. Josh is working ( yes at night!) at I always have a hard time going to bed when he's not home. He worked all day today, came home had dinner, and went back to work again. Not before he and I snuck out and had a concrete from Nielsons though. Mmmmm Oreo concrete....my favorite guilty pleasure. We weren't totally selfish though, I brought a quart of vanilla home for the kids. They were happy :)

Anyways I was reading the Parade from Sunday's paper and they were interviewing Richard Gere and Diane Lane about finding love and such and I liked a few of the things that they said. so, I thought that I would share them with you all.

Here they are:

"Happiness is not about being loved, it's about loving someone else. I'm talking about genuine love with a committed partner. Because she is there, you grow, you feel more. You have greater compassion. Real love frees you. It breaks the bonds of selfishness. It makes you larger."

-Richard Gere

" A marriage is a miracle everyday. I can't tell you what the secret is. but there's nothing more challenging in life than an intimate one-on-one relationship where there is such complete exposure to each other. There's nothing riskier." -Diane lane

Well that all for now I suppose. The kitchen is cleaned, but I have the last load of laundry to fold, so I better get to it. Goodnight xoxoxoxo

Getting there....

So, I'm getting things posted. Slowly, but surely I'm getting it done. I posted a couple of big ones today, it's just the beginning. How have I gotten this far behind? Josh would say it's because I never say no to anything and that I'm always volunteering somewhere. He keeps telling me that next year I'm not aloud to do any volunteering. If I don't do it, then who will??? Certainly not him! I do have to give him some credit though. He is going to be the leader for Dallin's scout group this year they are Bears now. My doing of course, but I know deep down that not only will he enjoy it, but he may even have fun doing it! If as a couple you don't try to get the other person to do things just outside of their comfort level, then how do you grow as a person? I think that part of being in a relationship is to help each other grow and move onto new and exciting things, even if it takes some poking and prodding. I mean if it wasn't for Josh encouraging me to get up on the roof with him the other day, and being totally supportive, I don't think that I could of done it. Like he said, how are you going to conquer your fears if you don't try it. Now, I'm still scared to get up on the roof, (it's not the fear heights on this one, it's the whole getting off of the ladder and such), but I am happy to say that I've been on the roof twice now!

OK, so I think that's probably enough babbling for now.

Hopefully this weekend I will be able to get a few more things posted and maybe (dare I say it) get caught up on Blogging?! hahahaha

Josh's Birthday Present 08-09-08

I gave Josh a day of fly fishing for his birthday this year (08/01/08).
I know that it was something he used to do that he really enjoyed and figured that after he had so much fun fly fishing up at Current Creek, he would enjoy another day out.

He went with Steve, and they fished up on the Logan River.

Cliff Diving anyone?

My husband, need I say anymore? I think not!
He takes some pretty darn good pictures.
Steve doin some fishin.

What a beautiful day!
The River.

One of the little guys that Josh got.
(It's kinda hard to fish and take photos at the same time!)

My, he sure is handsome.

I think that I could live out here.

So peaceful and serene.

Just absolutely gorgeous.

Fly Rod...check, fishing vest...check...man ready to fish...check!

Big Chopper

So, on August 5, 2008
(Yes, I really am that far behind, but I'm even farther behind on my scrap booking...what to do...what to do?)
Josh was driving up Provo Canyon ( at least I think that's what the said, after all, it was a whole month ago that we talked about this) and this big helicopter came right down to the river to scoop up some water for a nearby fire.
If you look closely at the pictures, you can see the windshield getting more water splatter on the later pictures.

It's off to the right, you can see the mists of water.
Look close by to the right of the car.
You can't really tell here, but it's there, I promise.

There it goes.
Josh said that it was really amazing...oh and he wished he had a better camera.

So far behind...

So, I'm really behind on my blogging. I have been really busy with Back-to-School stuff , we're in the process of re-roofing our house, and of course the day to day life with my family. Oh and by the way, it hasn't rained in like 3 months and we get a huge storm in last night and today is cold, wet, and rainy (like snuggle up in a blanket and watch movies cold).

Also, on Thursday I had to get up in front of the school and talk in front of a bunch of people because I'm PTA President this year. I was so nervous, when I was done talking I felt like I was going to hurl. I think speaking in front of a crowd is one of the worst things I have ever had to do. I'd rather give birth a million times than to have to speak in public!

Anyways more posts are coming, I promise!

Much love to all!!!!
